Wettenhalls' Geelong operation has finally moved from its former North Geelong depot into their new facility.
To accommodate the company's future growth, we have leased a new administration, depot and warehousing space on Melbourne side of Geelong near Lara, from long-standing client, Australian Wool Handlers. The larger depot provides undercover loading, a specially fitted, fully-equipped operations area with six work stations and the opportunity to expand warehousing if required.
Marchetti Transport was first established in 1952 when the company began operating with one truck, carting timber on behalf of sawmills in north eastern Victoria.
As the logging industry changed, Marchetti expanded and changed its operation, which saw the Melbourne-based business grow to provide a complete range of transport, warehousing and distribution services, including line haul transport and local deliveries.

Regional
Regional has delivered excellent results over the past quarter, and welcomed two new members of the team, David Jackson and Madeleine Hayes. In addition, the new Geelong branch is shaping up as an exceptional facility and we are working with Linfox on a new distribution model focusing on Geelong, Colac and Warrnambool.
Express
Moving into the busiest period, the Express division is expecting the strong growth will continue. The coming months will see the division focusing on refining operations and efficiencies, improving service levels and the implementation of new driver fatigue and chain of responsibility requirements.
Logistics
Logistics has seen several promotions across the board recently, giving key members even greater responsibility and opportunity. Finishing off the year strong, the division is on track for another solid year, with a very high number of orders processed daily.
Human Resources
As the business continues to grow, it's refreshing to have a number of new faces enter the team across all depots and facets of the company. The company successfully passed its Mass Management and ISO 9002 Quality Assurance Audit, and we continue to refine our Fatigue Management processes and procedures. We are also trialing a new Time and Attendance clock system to decrease the amount of double-handling.
Finance/IT
We've had a strong year across all divisions of the Group. We're working towards faster month end close process without compromising accuracy, with a target close by working day 7. We have also seen improved cash flow reporting and management, and we are automating regular manual tasks and exploring the full functionality of Sapphire. Finally we are working to streamline vendors in the wake of recent acquisitions.
